Kori's Wedding

A girl that is in my Cosmetology Class got married Saturday. I thought that since I was in town I should go. So I met up with some other girls that are in my class and we headed to Noccalula Mountain where the church was. It was good to see Kori get married and fun to hangout with these girls outside of class.

This is Brianna and I. Brianna has become a very good friend of mine. She sat next to me first semester and the first few weeks was very shy. Then we learned how to do manicures and she and I started doing them on each other every week so became very close. Brianna is hilarious! I have so many Brianna stories, One of my favorites is we had just become friends and she and some other girls at school were going to go get lunch together. She asked if I wanted to go, I don't really remember the reason but I couldn't go and she said "your not going because you are racist, aren't you!?!?!" She said that only because clearly I was not! It has become an on going joke... I will occasionally mess up on her nails and she will call me racist or I will ask her to help me do something and she will call me racist. She is so funny.

Here is a picture of me and the girls that I went with to the wedding. We were sitting almost in this same order and in the middle of the service, Brianna looked at me and said "Girl you are the cream in the Oreo!"

This is a picture of me and Kori (the bride).

This is a picture of Lauren, Kori, me and Brianna. These are the girls who I have sat by at school this past year. Being a Cosmetologist, we talk alot... I know ALL about these girls lives. It has been alot of fun getting to know them.

Getaway to Gatlinburg

This weekend was such a fun weekend! It was Jen's 23rd Birthday so we thought it would be such a great weekend to getaway and do something fun. We went to Gatlinburg. I had never been to Gatlinburg before this trip. It is a MAJOR tourist kinda place, but I did enjoy our trip.

We packed up Libby the Liberty and headed out Friday Afternoon.

This was taken when we got to the good ole' Ho Jo.

Saturday Morning we started our day real early. We had heard that the Pancake Pantry is delicious but we had also heard that we had to get there early or we would be standing in a line to get in. We got there about 7:30 on Saturday and did not stand in a line at all but by the time we left about 8:30ish the line had already formed out the door and around the building. Kinda crazy however, those Sweet Potato Pancakes were delicious.

Then we headed to Ober Gatlinburg for some Ice Skating, a mini zoo where we did see 6 bears, and also there is a slide that you ride down the mountian on a sled!

We did some shopping aound Gatlinburg.
Getting ready to go out.

Then we ended the day at Dolce Uva, which is an Italian Resturant and Wine Bar. It was such a fun night. They had Karaoke which we ended up becoming the entertainment for the older couples that were also at Uva. We met a "New Friend" named "Dot" and she wanted to join us for the song How Sweet it is to be Loved by You.

Sunday Morning we woke up early again to beat the crowd at Pancake Pantry. We packed up and headed out of town. While on our way out of town we stopped for a little Church by the stream.

This trip really ended up being such a great weekend full of fun memories.

It has become tradition at 410 that we carve pumpkins every year. This year is not exception. This afternoon Erin had class so Rachal, Jen, and I headed to First Methodist of Jacksonville where they sell pumpkins and picked out 4 (that were 1/2 off!). It was alot of fun! We ALL had fun no matter what some might say...

Homecoming

This weekend was Homecoming at Jacksonville. It was alot of fun seeing some of my "old friends." Friday Night Janele and Molly got into town and we went to the KA house, WOW, it is so crazy/fun seeing people that I haven't seen in 3, 4, or 5 years. Saturday was the Zeta Alumnae Brunch and then the Football game. It was a fun weekend. I didn't get as many pictures as I had hope but I guess I am learning lessons about Blogging.
