Getaway to Gatlinburg

This weekend was such a fun weekend! It was Jen's 23rd Birthday so we thought it would be such a great weekend to getaway and do something fun. We went to Gatlinburg. I had never been to Gatlinburg before this trip. It is a MAJOR tourist kinda place, but I did enjoy our trip.

We packed up Libby the Liberty and headed out Friday Afternoon.

This was taken when we got to the good ole' Ho Jo.

Saturday Morning we started our day real early. We had heard that the Pancake Pantry is delicious but we had also heard that we had to get there early or we would be standing in a line to get in. We got there about 7:30 on Saturday and did not stand in a line at all but by the time we left about 8:30ish the line had already formed out the door and around the building. Kinda crazy however, those Sweet Potato Pancakes were delicious.

Then we headed to Ober Gatlinburg for some Ice Skating, a mini zoo where we did see 6 bears, and also there is a slide that you ride down the mountian on a sled!

We did some shopping aound Gatlinburg.
Getting ready to go out.

Then we ended the day at Dolce Uva, which is an Italian Resturant and Wine Bar. It was such a fun night. They had Karaoke which we ended up becoming the entertainment for the older couples that were also at Uva. We met a "New Friend" named "Dot" and she wanted to join us for the song How Sweet it is to be Loved by You.

Sunday Morning we woke up early again to beat the crowd at Pancake Pantry. We packed up and headed out of town. While on our way out of town we stopped for a little Church by the stream.

This trip really ended up being such a great weekend full of fun memories.

George and I went there for our honeymoon and we ate at the Pancake place. The size of those pancakes were HUGE!!!!! Sounds like you had a really good trip!
